Why do you want to get your ex back? Is it because you realize that the both of you made mistakes and you want a chance to work on the relationship? When you want your ex back one thing you need to make sure of is that they want to come back. Otherwise you may end up fighting a lost cause. There are many couples that just were not meant to be together.

However, if this relationship is what you decide you want there are several methods to try. If he is missing you as well, there will be signs, so all you have to do is pick upon them. Try just calling to see how he is doing. This can be a short friendly conversation. Tell him you were thinking about something the two of you did - a dinner, movie or just a walk along the beach - this is a start. Make it light until you feel him out and see if you think he is still interested.

Sometimes running into him by chance (at least he thinks so) will be a great ice-breaker. This will also give you a chance to see if you think he is still interested in rekindling the relationship. Just make sure you are not showing up everywhere he goes or he will get the idea you are following him. There are also stalking laws to be considered. A chance encounter at a local area where both of you would be apt to go is not going to give him the idea that you know where he is all the time.

If the two of you have a good conversation and the odds seem in your favor, you might try asking him over for dinner. Or if there is something going on that both of you used to enjoy going to together such as a ball game this would be a good way to spend some time together. Hopefully he will be just as interested in spending time together as you are.
